Corvara in Badia is a village of about 1.300 people in the province of Bolzano at the foot of the moutains Sassongher, Boè and Col Alto. Because of the important lifts and mountain ranges surrounding it, Corvara is also called the Pearl of the Dolomites that joined the U.N.E.S.C.O.World Natural Heritage in 2009. The reasons for their entry are the unspoiled nature that dominates our area, the breathtaking views to discorver and the incredible landscape to admire.
The name Corvara is formed from the latin word corvus ("crow") with the suffix -aria and it means "place of the crows", to indicate why the crow is a symbol of this village. The closest villages are Colfosco, La Villa and, shortly after, San Cassiano. Thanks to the variety of ski slopes in winter, the several paths in summer and the lifts connected to both, it is possible to visit different villages without using proper vehicles.
